Thrifted Blouse
Thrifted Bag
ASOS/ DIY Denim
Urban Outfitters Booties
MAC Velvet Teddy

Not always should you require yourself to dress outstandingly unique, sometimes you have to trace back to the roots of fashion and use clean silhouettes to orchestrate a powerful statement outfit. Today was testing that theory out.

I've always beat myself up whenever I settled for something as simple as a blouse and jeans, but I've finally come to terms with the idea that, hey, sometimes the most simplistic outfit can really speak the most! I adopted this whimsical sketchy line blouse from the thrift store and I was so ecstatic to style it that I forgot about all of the other cool new stuff I recently picked up. I was in a serious rut when it came to shirts, I had about 7 shirts, that of which 4 were just basics, so I was pretty limited. This recent shirt-freedom has me so much more enthusiastic to start my days, believe it or not! For bottoms I wore my *slightly* too big denim skinnies from Asos. I cut these massive holes in the knees just to exaggerate and play up the trend of ripped knee-d jeans. I was so annoyed that I didn't have a classic pair of silver hoops to accompany this look, so I did purchase a pair from eBay soon after shooting this look. Next time those hoops will be featured in a simple look like this!

Stay well dressed!

Forever 21 Fedora
Missguided Necklace
Brandy Melville Crop Turtleneck
Thrifted Maxi Skirt
H&M Booties
MAC Viva Glam

Hi everyone!
Today I put together a classy, more elegant outfit. I started off with my thrifted royal blue skirt. I hadn't worn it in over a month and I felt that it was time to revive it from the depths of my closet. I had no idea what to wear on top until I saw my Brandy Melville turtleneck peeking from the corner of my eye. I grabbed it, despite being see through, and headed out the door! I feel like these conservative outfits allow free reign for the more risqué pieces to show through. Though my bra is from Walmart, I still feel like it is cute enough to slightly display with my outfit. For jewelry I added the Missguided necklace because this piece scream elegant, if it were to have vocal cords and say anything. For shoes, I kept it simple and easy to walk in with my H&M booties. I love these because they are so functional but also have some sort of heel to make me feel powerful.

Now, on to the deeper meaning behind this post...

I'm not going to pretend that I am in love with my body. It is factual that I resent my body more than I praise it. But today was different. I put on this outfit the night before and thought "Eh, good enough." But something amazing, no, magical came over me. I put on my outfit today and saw a whole new person. I saw the beauty within myself. Not the edges that outlined my body that made me a lumpy and "imperfect", but the good I had in my heart. It radiated like never before and I suddenly felt at peace with myself.

After so many months of faking the "I look beautiful" statement I actually felt it deep within myself. It was so powerful that I will NEVER go back to the life I lead before. And that is really what I want to do with my blog, but through fashion.

Fashion means so much more to me that "looking good". Fashion is my emotion. Fashion is my muse. Fashion is what inspires me to get up in the morning and pursue a productive day. And this is something no one can ever take away from me.

Stay well dressed everyone, I will be back tomorrow with another post!

UNIF Relics Hat
Forever 21 Sweater
Forever 21 Coat
Nastygal Turtleneck Sweater Dress
ASOS Sandals

Let's acknowledge the fact that I went through about four outfit changes today- after going out and running errands in one outfit I thought was decent enough. Honestly I couldn't figure out today's outfit. Fate must have interfered to make this ensemble come to life.

I got this combination through obviously a lot of trial and error. The only article that stayed constant in the outfit was the sweater, hat, and shoes. Otherwise I came up with countless combinations. I decided to layer my Nastygal sweater dress underneath the Forever 21 sweater for a bit of pizazz and texture. For some reason it has been really warm in Sacramento despite the storm that had passed through this past week, so I don't really need a coat... But why not add one anyways? Like mentioned in the last post, I've been gravitating towards the monochrome color scheme so naturally the grey coat seemed fitting for the mood. I am in desperate need of UNIF to come out with a white version of the Relics hat because this hat is literally sewn to my head at this point. I put on the ASOS sandals in black because there needed to be some sort of black correlation in the outfit with the hat.

My creative mind has been restless lately. I crave creative writing and trend research. I feel like a cloud that has been following over my head for the last year has finally lifted and now I'm in eternal sunshine. As I said to Miranda the other night, I'm uncomfortably happy. I shouldn't be complaining because why wouldn't you naturally want to be happy? But it's almost too good to be true, does that make any sense? Am I just babbling? It's late, I'm in Temple Coffee again and just contemplating the Light Rail ride back home. I downed a vanilla latté in less than five minutes so I assume I'll be on a caffeine high any second now. Perfect for falling asleep early, right!?

Anyways, stay well dressed and I hope to be back tomorrow with an outfit post AND day blog post, I'm going to a museum tomorrow in SF. I'll let you all know how it is!

UNIF Relics Hat
Thrifted Turtleneck Sweater
Forever 21 Necklace
Asos Denim
Thrifted Shoes

I'm sitting in Temple Coffee in Midtown Sac watching an elderly man pace among the store. He's not making a commotion or disturbing anyone, just in his own world. Pacing, thinking, and doing to his liking. The universe is literally putting how I feel in a person and their actions. Weird, but also comforting.

I was feeling dark today, can you tell? I did do this on purpose, it wasn't just a random coincidence that all of the articles happened to be black. I wanted to wear all black just because I have been on a monochromatic/ all black kick and I'm not quite ready to drift from it. It just occurred to me that I could have easily paired my neon Nike's with this outfit but its too late now. I've committed to the darkness that consumes me.

I thrifted this poncho/turtleneck a long long time ago. I found it among a plethora of other basic black sweaters in Thrift Town and for some reason I reached into the midst of the sweater storm and grabbed this gem. I didn't even try it on before purchasing it, and regardless of if I had or hadn't, I would've bought it. The sleeves are interesting and billowy, and are accompanied by super high slits on either side of the torso. It's a show stopper. To top off the great energy this sweater has, it has a turtleneck. Is this a real tangible object in my possession? Honestly, way too good to be true. For bottoms I have been really taken by these ripped jeans from Asos, you all have seen these at least 20 times since starting my blog. Shoes, well I stepped out of my ordinary Celine 01's and grabbed these small heeled wonders. How cute are they! Just simple little lace ups with a fierce attitude. As for headwear, do I even need to say why I grabbed the UNIF Relics Hat?

I hope everyone is starting off their week right with some cute outfits and confidence in everything they do. You all are unique and brilliant in your own ways! Always remember that!

Stay well dressed and I will speak with you all tomorrow!

Urban Outfitters Pink Faux Fur
Brandy Melville Cropped Tank
Thrifted Denim
Asos Sandals

Today I woke up feeling very ill, so makeup was minimal and the outfit was too! The funny thing about these jeans was that I bought them without trying them on and when I tried them on at home I couldn't get them past my butt, and now they actually fit (while being a tad snug too). I totally faced palmed when I realized that I had the exact same shirt in white and how much nicer it would have looked in the outfit, but whatever. I gravitated towards a casual look with the fur because denim can always be dressed up or down to look chic or grunge. I chose the chic route, clearly. Shoes were very simplistic with my Asos sandals. These are basically the exact same shoe as the black ones, just white. I had never worn them before today so busting them out was exciting.

You know today was a terribly lazy inspired day when I don't even put on lipstick. I don't know what it was about getting dressed today but I just was not in the mood. I applied to Petsmart last night and I was up until 1 AM finishing up the application, it was definitely extensive however I kind if appreciate the fact that a company really takes time to figure out the person before actually interviewing them. They don't waste the time of the applicant or employer! I really want to work there solely because I adore animals (seeing that my name is Sabrinapugs here in blogging world/ Youtube world), and seeing animals all day or attending to guinea pigs sounds like a great way to spend my days off. I had an epiphany that I was really longing for more productivity in my life and I think having a job would help fill that void. Wish me luck in the application progress! Fingers crossed.

That's all for today, stay well dressed and I will be back tomorrow with another outfit post!
