Weight Loss Landmark: 18 Pounds

I thought it would be a nice addition to my blog to include my weight loss progress, seeing that I have lost a substantial amount of weight since starting sabrinapugs!

I had put on approximately 100 pounds since junior year of high school (currently a freshmen in college) and I realized that it was only going up from where I was about a month ago. I am completely for body positivity, don't get me wrong, however I felt as though it was very strenuous to be carrying all of this extra weight and everything seemed slightly more difficult for me ever since I put on the pounds. So I decided to make a change. Cold turkey. I went from eating approximately 3,800 calories a day down to 1,100 and I had seen amazing results. I am 5'3.5-5'4 so my body size does not need nearly 4,000 calories (especially since I am very sedentary). 

After losing the initial 18 pounds from just eating less I've noticed I have plateaued at this current weight. I decided to incorporate some exercise into my day. So, I walked four miles yesterday throughout this really neat trail along the local lake. It was so relaxing and meditative that I can't help but yearn to walk along the lake every day. 

I hope you all like these installments of my weight loss journey, I thought it may be helpful for fellow fashionistas that are trying to get more healthy like myself.

Please remember that you are beautiful just the way you are and weight loss is not a necessity for every one! I am doing this life style change purely because my cholesterol was peaking as well as my blood pressure and I did not want to shorten my life due to weight caused health issues! If you want to lose weight please take this as inspiration to do so and do not compare your calorie intake to mine. I have consulted with my doctor and we have discovered that this amount of food per day is enough for me to survive comfortably and also drop some pounds.
